At About Events, our role is to make that vision effortless for you. We offer a full service planning experience that blends expert logistics with refined design — so you can stay present and inspired throughout the process, while we take care of everything behind the scenes.


Here’s what you can expect when we plan your destination wedding, from the first call to the final farewell.

  1. DISCOVERY & ONBOARDING


It all begins with a conversation.


Our initial consultation is where we begin to understand your priorities, style, guest list, and overall vision. Whether you come to us with a clear concept or just a feeling, we guide you through the possibilities — and show you what’s uniquely possible in Portugal.


Once you're officially on board, we map out your wedding weekend timeline and begin crafting a tailored planning roadmap. We’ll introduce you to Aisle Planner, our planning portal, and set up all communication touchpoints.


This is where we establish clarity and flow — your planning journey starts feeling real, and deeply supported.


  1. VENUE & VENDOR SELECTION


Our first curatorial milestone.


We present a carefully selected shortlist of venues based on your desired style, location, and guest count. From hidden vineyard estates to coastal forts and historic palaces, we help you choose the perfect setting — with all logistics in mind.


Next, we begin sourcing your full vendor team: floral designers, caterers, photographers, entertainment, hair & makeup artists, and more. Every professional we recommend is someone we trust — not just for their talent, but for their alignment with your aesthetic and expectations.


We handle all communication, pricing negotiation, and contract management — so you never have to chase or worry.


  1. CREATIVE DIRECTION & DESIGN


Bringing intention and style to every detail.


Once your venue is confirmed, we begin developing the creative direction for your wedding weekend. We’ll build a full design proposal with moodboards, colour palettes, spatial layouts, floral inspiration, rental selections, and custom details.


Whether your style is modern and minimal or romantic and rich in texture, we design every element to feel layered, personal, and editorial — always in harmony with your story and location.


We also liaise directly with all design vendors to ensure the execution matches the vision — right down to the fabric on the chairs and the placement of the candles.


  1. GUEST EXPERIENCE MANAGEMENT


Because a destination wedding is also a guest journey.


From the moment your save-the-date is sent, we take care of everything guest-related.


This includes:


  • Designing a custom Wedding Website with all essential information

  • Managing all RSVPs and guest attendance tracking

  • Coordinating transportation (airport pickups, venue transfers, etc.)

  • Assisting with accommodation block reservations

  • Answering guest questions and special requests

  • Providing itineraries and maps for the wedding weekend


You’ll never have to answer 47 versions of “what time is the bus?” — we do it for you.


  1. PLANNING & PRODUCTION


Everything comes together — calmly, beautifully, and on schedule.


We manage all timelines, checklists, production schedules and vendor logistics. From final walkthroughs to rehearsal coordination, we oversee every moving part — always keeping you informed without overwhelming you with unnecessary detail.


As your date approaches, our team becomes your wedding-day production crew — orchestrating every moment, solving issues before you see them, and protecting the energy of your day.

  1. WEDDING WEEKEND COORDINATION


It’s not just a day. It’s an entire experience.


We’re onsite with our full team to manage your complete wedding weekend — from welcome party to farewell brunch. Each event is carefully timed, styled, and supported by professionals who know the plan inside and out.


This includes:


  • Coordination of all vendors across all events

  • Onsite setup and styling of every space

  • Guest arrival management

  • Flow of ceremony, dinner, speeches, first dance, and beyond

  • Emergency problem-solving (quietly, behind the scenes)


And yes — we stay until the very last toast.
