Their destination wedding at Forte da Cruz delivered exactly that — a detail-rich, heartfelt celebration that embraced Portuguese culture and made every guest feel truly welcomed.

The experience began with personalised welcome bags, filled with Port wine, local delicacies, and custom stationery — a thoughtful start that set the tone for the weekend.

The night before the wedding, guests gathered for a relaxed welcome party at K Bueno Steakhouse, a rooftop venue in Cascais. With sweeping city views and warm summer air, it was the perfect prelude to the celebration to come — full of laughter, toasts, and anticipation.

The wedding day took place at Forte da Cruz, a historic castle with red-trimmed windows and panoramic ocean views. Emily and Paul got ready at Real Villa Itália Hotel, surrounded by calm energy and their closest family. The symbolic ceremony unfolded on the oceanfront terrace, framed by sculptural florals and a curved aisle — adding a modern, romantic twist to a timeless setting. Inspired by Portugal’s iconic

azulejos, the design palette featured soft blue-and-white tones carried through the florals, stationery, and table décor.
